The Value of Trust

Trust is a commodity
Easily hoarded
Yearned by all in Mankind to have
But is so cautiously traded
It takes time to earn

Blessed is the one
Who is gifted
With the trust of others
For the successes of Mankind
Are often built
By the glue of trust

With the asset of trust
The portfolio of friendships
Stabilises in times of volatility
Yet maximizes mutual returns
Of respect and rapport
In bullish times
Free from the unhappy sentiments
Of trials and tribulations

With the potion of trust
The plagues of hostility and conflict
Symptoms of misunderstandings and mistrust
Disappear
Replaced by the synergy of teamwork and cooperation
Eager to set aside petty differences
To achieve common goals

With the ingredient of trust
Love becomes one noble affair
Characterised by self sacrifice and compromise
With no strings attached
Free from self interest and hidden agenda
With abundance of fondness and care

Defaulters of trust
Are the cursed and the damned
For they are the wicked and the ungrateful
Eagerly manipulating the gullible and the vulnerable
To exploit their precious loan
For their own egoistical needs
For the time will come
When their credit rating is up
And that is where
Enemies of the past
Angry creditors of trust
Will haunt them
To crucify them on the cross
Of bankruptcy.

The Misery of Studying

The institution of studies
Is a popular form of tyranny
Many are willing to serve
To better their lives

The dictator of studies
Sees fun and leisure
As inferior J(#s
To be caged in a zoo

Champions of idealism
Are actively prosecuted
With dreams crushed
By an iron fist

The slow and the weak
Are mercilessly condemned
As the lazy and the useless
While the bright and the studious
Are unfairly applauded
As the hard working and industrious

The totalitarian regime of studies
Operates
On a well received lie
Of a comfortable life
Propagated by the cunning minds
Of businesses and the like
Where our futures supposedly lie

Blessed is the one
Who can boldly reject
The subjugation of grades
Which predetermine where our futures lie
For the successes of Mankind
Are not determined by our line
But our creative minds
Which can seize opportunities
To create a life
We all like.

The Tedium of Queuing

I keep my eye
On the time
Frozen by the Maker of my life
Trapped in the stillness
Of Eternal paradise
Dead
Hoping it would self-revive

It has been said
A watched pot never boils
But time is one bad boy
Who toys
With graceful coy
The limits of my patience
Til my blood boils

This is not kind
To my mind
In coping with life
Stuck in time
Waiting for a line
That never dies.

The Miracles of Water

The miracles of water
Happens
When I take a shower

Rejuvenated
By the fresh gush of water
Liberated
From the demands of life

Renewed
By the therapeutic rush of water
Safe
From the hardships of life

Cleansed
By the healing touch of water
Secure
From the challenges of life

Here comes the end of a brief respite
Of a relaxing shower
As I come out
With a towel
The sanctuary of my bathroom
Refreshed
Ready to face on life's misery.

The Allure of Money

Ah money
Is a magic wand
I so desire to have

I would conjure
Personal fame and success
And lavish myself with material excess
That I was destined to have

I would free
the shackles of obligation and suffering
Many detest
To get what they dont have

I would indulge
In the happiness of success
And savour
A life full of abundance and respect
That a privileged few could only access

Its just too bad
Not everyone has a wand
In their pocket

If not, I would have
Made far more progress
When im endowed with that in excess.  XD

The Plight of Guys

The People of Mars in Modern City
Prisoners of the Stoic Deity
Their hearts
Sacrificial objects for the Demon of Masculinity
Their tears
Once blessings of emotional relief
Now cursed flaws of maturity
For it now dont attract the angels of sympathy
But the heartless ghouls of scorn and incredulity

The People of Mars in Modern City
Comes to Venus in search of liberty
But they were shocked to know
They had to navigate
The minefields of social hypocrisy
The dungeons of unfavourable scrutiny
And the catacombs of ancient chauvinism
For should they fail at the slightest bit
They will plunge into the chasm of rejection
Where monsters will eat up the remains of their dignity

The People of Mars in Modern City
Gentlemen in broad daylight
But ferocious werewolves in dark night
For they all howl at the full moon of lust
Eager to devour any female's virginity.

The Youth of Students

Oh the People of High School today
Always claiming to be victims of circumstances
Demands more welfare to be done for them
Expects society to cater to their lifestyles
Hopes others to understand their aspirations
But they usually forget what others will enquire of them
And that is: "What have you done to deserve all that?"

Always complaining of having many problems
While strangely oblivious to the plight of others
Outrageously riduicules and disrepects teachers
But expects them to grade them fairly
Thursts projects and deadlines to more mature peers
Yet ostracizes and deems them as misfit nerds
Unfairly gets elected into presidency through popularity
But does nothing productive for the committee
Surprisingly obedient to the hip culture of modernity
While unaware that money is what modernity wants out of them
Undeservingly gets into lots of relationships
Always telling others of their purported greatness
When in fact they are mere ungrateful brats

Oh the People of High School today
When would you start growing up and thinking less of yourself
And more for others?
